Considering transferring out of Northwestern into GA Tech, etc

I’ve been considering transferring out of Northwestern for a bit. I’ve only been here a few months, but I’ve been pretty miserable so far. The greek scene is a lot bigger than I wanted, and I haven’t loved the place socially. Aside from that, I’m a CS major, and I recognize that CS isn’t exactly Northwestern’s strong suit. We just funded $150 million to improve it, but overall classes aren’t offered terribly often, and it doesn’t seem to be a huge priority here. I’ve been considering transferring to Georgia Tech, UT Austin, etc. In Northwestern’s engineering school so far, I’m looking at a 3.4ish. My HS stats are:
GPA: ~94 unweighted (12AP schedule with huge upward trend, 98 unweighted senior year)
Rank: 40/540 large public school
SAT/ACT: 2350/35
SAT IIs: 800 math ii, 740 phys

Basically:

Is this a good idea?
Would catching up in another school’s CS curriculum be hard?
Will my grades at Northwestern make me a bad transfer candidate?

I’m not making any hasty decisions. Just something I’m keeping in mind for the future.

Posting just to follow this thread; I’m also a NU freshman considering transferring for similar reasons (I’m mmss/math/econ, so my complaints about class opportunities aren’t the same, but my thoughts on the Greek scene are very similar).

Good to know I’m not alone. It’s a bit overwhelming.
