Consolation round of college recruiting mail?

So, is anyone else getting a new wave of college recruiting mail? It had pretty much ended a month or so ago, but this week we've already had three! Are they looking for students on the rebound (not getting into schools they've applied for)? Our D hasn't opened any, just throws them away, so I'm wondering what their pitch might be!

I still get recruiting mails.

I’m a senior in college.

I don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason lol.

When both of my sons took the PSAT, they made mistakes on the bubble form in filling out their names. For literally years afterward we could identify which mailing list colleges were using when mail came to the house.

S1 is about to graduate from college. We got a few letters/emails for him this spring.
Same with S2.

Not only postal mail but also email. I find it kind of annoying…

Our mail ended abruptly about two months ago. Now there is nothing in our mailbox, except an occasional mailing from the one school where my son did apply. He was accepted and sent in the deposit, so I’m wondering why they bother.

I think it’s a smart move to mail to kids this time of year, especially if it’s looking like they won’t make their quotas. (most schools)
