Consolidated Answers for the June 2010 SAT

simo - I still think the curve of the CR test is being overestimated. It won’t be in the red, but we’ll see.

^ even if it’s in the middle range (can we agree on this, at least?), it would be 750-780.

Haha yes, we can agree on that. I wasn’t trying to argue… And I’m hoping my -1 CR holds up so I don’t have to worry about the curve. What are your predicted scores simo?

M: 800 (haven’t missed one yet, so I’m hoping it stays that way)
CR: 770-780 (missed 3 so far)
W: 780-800 (depends on whether “intent about” is correct and on my essay score, which I predict will be 11).

You?

M: 800 (I too haven’t missed one yet, praying I didn’t make a careless error)
CR: 800 (only -1 so far, so I’m hoping it stays that way)
W: 780-800 (depends on my essay; I know I’m at -1 and I made an 11 on the essay last time so if it stays -1 [barring the intent about question, which I pray is indeed an error] and I get the 11 it’ll be 800, 780 or 790 w/ 10 essay)

really hoping I didn’t just jinx those scores :)

I followed the same structure and used the same examples as last time and filled up literally all the space this time, so it “should” be an 11 again but you never know… it’s at least a solid 10… my worst fear is being hit with an 8 or 9, ughh

and btw, i looked up past writing curves and -1 mc w/ 10 e is sometimes an 800, -1 w/ 11 e is always 800 (except one time I think)

ps, i’m pretty positive that “intent about” is an error, but w/ an 11 essay, you’re set for an 800 W

Yeah, I said “intent about” was an error.

^I also said “intent about” was an error.

simo, CR seems to be destroying your chance of a 2400

Yes, it does. But I will be just fine with a 2370 on my first try. Have your predicted scores been accurate in the past? I have a nagging feeling that I misbubbled something.

No, my predicted score was wrong in March bc the CR curve turned out to be a -2 780, which sucked. And I made careless errors on math, one of which might have been due to misbubbling. And me too, I’m particularly worried about math bc one little error and the 800 is gone

Final predictions:
CR: 680
M: 720
W: 800

2200…thankfully I’m looking at a 35/36 on the June ACT.

I think I bombed the SAT. I’d be happy for a 1700-1800 and I’m hoping for about a 28/29 on ACT but I don’t know.

Can someone predict my score?

CR:
-12 wrong

M:
-4mc
-2 fill
-1 omit

W:
-3 wrong
10 essay

Cr: 640
m: 670
w: 720

^ you think math will be under green area?

I think it’ll be the lower half of yellow, hence 670. However, there’s no reason why it can’t be in the upper half.

I thought the math was a lot harder than usual.

alright thanks for the prediction :)
