[*]Tr

Thanks, 082349. I also thought of a good French book, although it might not be worth mentioning since it’s out of print and fairly hard to find. I guess I will anyway though.

The book is called “French Without Toil”, published by Assimil. I have the edition from 1940 (I know, older than my parents :P) but I really like the layout and the material is great. The book is designed to have you read a lesson a night and in five months you should greatly improve your French (a lesson is only a few pages, like 10 minutes of study). I should note that it starts out from a beginners standpoint, but it isn’t like “here’s the alphabet”, it actually begins with immersion and the reader figures out grammar as they go. I read through this book three times during the summer and was placed in AP French when I got back to school (I decided to take it next year though, since I don’t have enough periods in the day).

Anyway, if you can find a copy on eBay or wherever, I think it would be a valuable purchase.

Anybody have a suggestion for an APES TEXTbook? Thanks.

For Spanish Language, I haven’t actually taken it yet, but according to the syllabi here: [AP Course Audit - Spanish](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>AP Spanish Language and Culture Course Audit – AP Central | College Board)

Una Vez M

Good post, JFetrov! As for the CB’s suggestions, they’re useful but for the subjects I have tested there are way too many books to sort through :P

@ Isurus: I’ve heard good things about Bodkin’s. Simply do a thread search for “Bodkin” or “Bodkins” and see what you find.

Bump, for all who need it.

Well, for Latin here is what I would recommend:

Textbooks:
Vergil’s Aeneid: Selections from Books 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, and 12 by Barbara Weiden Boyd
[Amazon.com: Vergil’s Aeneid: Selections from Books 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, and 12 (9780865165847):…](http://www.amazon.com/Vergils-Aeneid-Selections-Books-10/dp/086516584X/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1275331190&sr=8-7)

Review Books:
REA (Q, E, P)
Excelability in Advanced Latin (Q, E, P)
A Vergil Workbook (Q, E, P)

**Note: You don’t want to self-study AP Latin

Bump! This seems like a great resource!

What about CliffNotes for AP Biology?
