<p>I would disagree. There are plenty of people at Caltech who did not do research in high school, myself included.</p>
<p>I totally agree with dLo. I have also seen people doing research and getting rejected. So don’t let research bother you. What matters most is how you can show to the committee your passion in science/math, and how you can contribute to the school community.</p>
