[*]Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?:[/ul] Quite frankly I didn’t expect to get in. Not that I’m complaining. It doesn’t matter if I get in anywhere else - I knew all along that if I got into Caltech then that was where I would go. I applied to the Medical Scholar program, too, but it’s too early to know about that one. Crossing my fingers though.

I expect if you didn’t take Math II (which from what I remember is a requirement) then your application was discarded before anyone really took a serious look at it. It’s important to meet all the basic requirements and paperwork.

To Djovokic, while we are happy for you, your comments about your fellow classmates are sexist and mean-spirited. Do you really believe you did not get into Caltech Early Action is because you are a boy? Your academic stats may be good enough for Caltech, but your character may be not.

Yes I regret saying those sexist comments, it was just he spur of the moment. It was more about me being frustrated about not getting in the first time and waiting the extra few months. I had worked extremely hard in my high school career and was impatient to reap the rewards.

KKK and guys accepted: congrads to all for CT. I postulated in mit thread that it’s the way people were misinformed b4 the admit cycle or they just overlooked the AA/hardship/obstacle hooks. MITChris gave plenty of insights, so thanks a lot. To future CT/MIT applicants : read the writings on the wall , esp. MIT, and apply as you wish – just add on more “safety schools” if you can afford the time and money. No big deal: MIT’s loss is CT’s and other schools’ gain :)
