Are there any experienced readers willing to PLEASEEEEEEEEEE read my essay and get it back my today. it’s a final draft. PLEASE??? PM ME!!!

To those EDers that haven’t received a response from me: I won’t be able to finish your essays. I’m happy to help you for your RD schools, but I’ll need more than three days’ notice.

Good luck and Godspeed on your apps!

PS: To those whose essays I was able to edit, PLEASE email me and tell me how your ED applications turn out. Keep me posted!

I’m in to read some essays :)

I’m a parent and will be happy to take a look.

I’m a high school junior and will be happy to edit. I check every two days or so, and as soon as I see your essay, I’ll get it back to you within three hours.

I know there’s a lot of suspicion on these boards, and I don’t know what one can say to convince writers that they won’t steal essays, but I won’t. That’s just ridiculous.

Hey everyone. I’m pretty good at editing, I’ll try to tighten your flow, grammar, themes, etc. and give you some suggestions, a nice critique. :)

I’m a senior, but I’ve already completed my essay and ED app so I have some spare time. And by my honor I would NEVER try to do anything with your essay other than help you with it. (besides I already have a copy of 100 Successful College Applications and etc. so I would not poach ideas from here anyway :P)

I’m also a grammar Nazi, so that might help.

Hi guys. As I’m sure other seasoned essay readers are well aware, there are clear ebbs and flows in incoming essays during the year. When students aren’t submitting essays, we seem to have more time; when they are frantically spamming our in boxes, we’re also in a crunch.
For the last couple of months (the school year), I’ve been nearly unresponsive to essay requests. I know I’ve received ample praise and I’d love to help you, but I have a very heavy course load and I myself have essays to write. (Not a college any of you will be applying to, don’t worry).
I love to critique essays, and even more so I enjoy helping all of you out. But my mental and emotional health is somewhat jeopardized at the moment and I’m at my wit’s end trying to figure things out. So until I come back on here and post a change to this, I’m going to limit essay requests to referrals from a specific user or users that I’ve already been helping/helped in the past. Sorry about this, but I’m truly swamped and I hate to ignore or put down 6 or 7 essays per day. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Everyone to whom I still haven’t responded:

It’s midterm week[s] and there’s a backlog. Please resend your essays to jrapp@sas.upenn.edu AND include your:

Name

Deadline

Prompt

Prospective Schools

I need two-three weeks for each, but if your application is due before that, mark the email as urgent. (Again, use the honor system, please.)

put me down too

Hey everyone. An update to my above post - it’s getting busy with school right now, so if you want me to read just send it in your PM instead of asking first, and I’ll get to it much faster.

Also, my critiques are honest pretty deep - a bit like “tear it apart” (but with nice intentions!) I’ll be reading carefully, so if you’re squeamish toward criticism you might want to avoid me. (But if I come off as too pointed or demanding, just remember there’s no malevolence intended at all ;))

I will, I guess. I can be sort of spotty and unreliable, but I’m honest and sometimes like reading essays at two in the morning? It’s a thing.

haha right here i will read ur essays just pm them to me

DEBSKI,

You are awesome, I so much liked your edits/comments, they were so helpful. Thank you SO much, I SO much appreciate what you have done for me.

Ironicallyunsure Reviewed My Essay :)

The Review Was PROMPT, THOROUGH and PROFESSIONAL. I Definitely Recommend.

-Thank You.

Hello everyone! I’m new to this site and I just wanted to make sure I got this straight–I can just email anyone on this list and ask them to read my essay? Or is there something else I should do first?

Don’t just email “anyone”… like that dude 3 posts above. Look for good reviews and check their post history.
That said, wayward_trojan was very helpful, although he’s kinda busy and may not respond in time.
ironicallyunsure was very prompt but not really thorough

Put me in ladies and gentlemen.
