(100% confirmed active) RadronOmega

He has by far the most mentions of anyone in this thread with 25 CCers. His email is apexeffectatgmaildot_com (I asked loopyz for it) and he has rules on page 4 before emailing him.

(100% confirmed active) chaseholl

He asks for the prompt and program(s)/college(s). 800 posts. Seems legit.

(100% confirmed active) Edwardz
Has 6 mentions on this thread. Pretty good.

CollectiveSynergy
He has 0 mentions on this thread for people vouching, but has 700 posts so he’s at least not stealing your essay.

guidedbywire
No one has vouched for him and he only has 100 posts, but this was hilarious. Rules on page 30.

People really should NOT be soliciting for essay help on this thread because it keeps pushing back the pages where the helpful readers list themselves. If you do not have the minimum 15 posts to PM, it’s not very difficult to get. Put in some effort considering how much effort others are putting into your essays. Also, anyone with only a few posts and with a post history mainly in the essay section should not be trusted to send essays to, despite what they “claim” their credentials to be.

Brilliant stuff.

Hey could you take a look at my essay? if you can email me at kevinli157(at)********** if not dont worry about it!

radronOmega has scrutinized my essay thoroughly. It has been helping me a lot, I cannot thank him enough.

Did he recently help you? I hope he is willing to look at mine as well.

I’ve been looking at several on CC for the past week and am willing to do so for another week or so. Feel free to send PM me your essays for me to give comments on. Be sure to include the prompt, essay, and an e-mail address for me to send it back to you.

One vote to RadronOmega!!!
He scrutinized my essay very well and spotted some stupid mistakes I made.
I definitely will have to thank him more if I get accepted. :)

I’ll read anyone’s essay. For anything. If it has a prompt please include that. Send it to me in a word doc to 405wesley108 @ gmail. com

I am talking to radronOmega right now and he is looking over an essay of mine as I type this, so he is still an active reader.

HastyCentaur is also an active user. He is a great help, might I say. He scrutinized my essay thoroughly.

Hi! This is Jane! I want to ask hastycentaur to look at my essays too but i am new here so i cannot send PM right now. So if its okay, could you give me his email address so i could directly email him my essays? Thx a lot!

HastyCentaur read my essays and gave me well developed criticisms and suggestions! I cannot thank him enough!

HastyCentaur is an active reader! Very constructive comments and gives you practical steps to improve your essay, a grea reader! Thanks!

HastyCentaur gives a very fast turnaround and the criticisms he gave were of much use. He is an active reader!!

Just wanted to let people know that due to the number of essays I have to edit right now, I will now only edit essays that fall under these two guidelines:

The essay is almost a final draft. If I skim it and don’t think it’s there yet, I will not edit it. I simply don’t have time to do the intensive edits I’ve been doing lately on essays that clearly were clearly written a day or two ago.

Your PM clearly includes in this exact format:

Type: Edit/Read (Edit indicates to me that you want me to look closely at the essay and make suggestions and revisions. Read indicates to me that you simply want a paragraph on whether or not your essay is good and a few comments about areas to improve it)
Prompt:
School the essay is for:
Essay:
E-mail Address: (in the format of email (at) provider (dot) com so that it is not censored)

If your PM fails to include any of these five elements, I will not edit it since you cannot follow directions.

I specialize in essays being written for top 25 schools. I always try to help people applying to top schools first since the essay holds a substantial weight in their candidacy. My comments are straight to the point and sometimes may come off as harsh but they are meant to help you. If you are looking for someone to tell you good job, do not PM me. I am the wrong guy for that. If you are looking for someone who will give you honest feedback and help your essay reach the next level, you have come to the right guy.

**To the poster above…

1) Uhhh…only top 25 schools? I’ve gotten over 2 dozen essays from international students who need far more help with their essays than any domestic one. Way to just be lazy about them and not put in the effort to those who need it the most.

2) Sounds like you have everyone you help post praise about you. That just spams this thread and hides other graders. And if I did that…there would be 6 straight pages of people non-stop praising me. Are you doing this to help people or for the ego?

3) Also, top 25 schools? What’s your definition of that? Liberal art colleges are just as hard to get into as any. Several public schools have specialized programs that are under 8% acceptance rate.

Sounds like you’re being naively elitist. And judging from your post history, you’re just a high schooler.**

Hey SupremeJustice,

I agree that a lot of international students do need help and I have helped out several. I don’t believe I ever said anything about domestic vs. international students. I’m doing this to give back to CC which I found to be an invaluable resource back when I was applying. I definitely chose the wrong wording by “top 25” and admit to my mistake there. By top 25 I meant competitive schools in general since I have seen most essays from people here targeted at those schools anyways so I felt I had a better familiarity with those. The intent of that post was to simply to make things more organized similar to what radronOmega did on page 4. I apologize if it came off in any other way.

Umm since this is apparently happening…I guess I’ll add my own comments into the mix, as a fellow essay reader.

I actually agree with HastyCentaur’s first point (kinda). If I’m reading an essay and it seems like they haven’t even finished it (like they have blanks everywhere) or it is REALLY poor I will stop reading it. I make comments as I go, and if its unfinished or utterly horrible I’ll skip to the end and explain why I didn’t finish reading the essay and give them some advice. I don’t wasting time reading crud, when there are a lot of other essays I haven’t even started.

Also @SurpremeJustice, I agree I hate spamming, but at the same time it is sometimes necessary to get the word out. I’ve had people really nervous about sending me their essay because there was nothing on this thread about me, from other CC’ers.

Just to comment on one more thing that HastyCentaur said, I agree with his “rules.” I will literally email/PM people backing telling them to put it in a certain format. It makes the whole process easier.

Anyway, all this doesn’t even matter. We are all doing our part to give back to CC, we shouldn’t be fighting amongst ourselves. Everyone has their own style, and way of doing things.

Wondering if someone could go over a draft for me—in need of some help. Its under 300 words which the prompt requires and its only 2 paragraphs about my learning disability. The school i am applying to is Norwich university Corps of Cadets.

@hastycentaur is awesome! Really helpful and actually nice. Some readers mistake “harsh criticism” as just plain rudeness.

@yaujar is also the best! Really kind and actually gives you good feedback.
