27^x=ka, 3^6x = 81a^2

You take the square root of 3^6x = 81a^2, and it changes to 3^3x = 9a. If you plug in 1 for x, it looks exactly the same as 27^x=ka, except its 9a instead of ka. So K=9

yeah it was 90%. I had gotten 45 because I made a mistake with 1 min. left (I said 101x, lol), quickly corrected it

The answer for the two 270 degree circles is just 96 pi not 96 pi + 64

80 (101-x)= 10x

8080- 80x= 10x

8080= 90x

x= 89.8~ 90

wrong. consensus agrees that it is 96pi+64. 96pi fails to account for the gap in the middle of the circles when you multiply by 3/4

C(x) = 10x/101-x

It said C(x) was in MILLIONS of dollars. $80 million was put into the pollution control, so you plug in 80 for C(x).

= 80 = 10x/101-x
= 80(101-x) = 10x
= 8080 - 80x = 10x
= 8080 = 90x
= x = ~90%
