I either want to go to csun or cpp for construction management or construction engineering technology, does anyone have any experience with either programs. And were should I go? I live like down the street from csun and if i go to Pomona ill have to dorm.
Please help!!!

They hardly compare. Cal Poly Pomona is one of the better CSUs while CSUN is near the bottom. Just to give you an example, you need close to a 1200/ 1600 on the SATs to get into CPP Engineering while at CSUN it’s more like 925/1600. That’s a huge difference. Besides that, Cal Poly will be better respected for that major, while CSUN may be known for accounting, deaf studies and music.

If you can afford it, the dorming experience at CPP will be a worthwhile and memorable experience while commuting to CSUN will not.

Unfortunately, judging from my friend’s experience, this is true:

Not the brightest of our bunch back at CC but is pulling a 3.7 in ME and says he gets pretty much 100s on his hardest tests at CSUN…so…

Now I’m sure they have an OK program…but there is a lot of grade inflation I think. I was seriously (although it’d be rude) going to ask him where he found the time to build a huge lego thing he posted on Facebook (I’m talking massive) when he’s taking like 5+ engineering classes and has all this free time to be in a Starcraft club cuz all he does pretty much is play video games. I had to drag the kid out of his room and pull him through Linear Algebra before transferring, LOL.

thanks about the info about the engineering but does anyone have any experience with the construction engineering technology program. And after awhile of living in dorms i will probably commute to Pomona from the valley. Is it really worth all this going to cal poly.

Commuting from the Valley is not worth it. I am thinking the “college experience” is not what you’re looking for, in which case, CSUN may be the right choice for you.
