So I forgot to include a really important award along with my Cornell app! Can I email them? if so how do i got about doing so?

Just put it on your midyear.

ooo an award?

Yeah...that's what they're for. You put 1st semester grades on it, as well as any awards you've won since.

but i won the award last year...

if you don't want to send the award because you won it last year, then DON'T!

no i want to...i just don't kno where to put it...

I would just email hotel admissions and tell them that you forgot to include an important award and hope they will use it in your file for consideration during the admissions process.

ok thanks...what is the email address?

it says this on the site however:
Cornell is currently receiving a very large volume of application materials, and we are experiencing a 2-3 week application processing backlog. During our peak application processing period from December 16 through January 24, our staff will be unable to respond to phone calls or e-mail inquiries about application materials. We will be devoting all of our time and effort toward getting freshman applications to selection committees so that they may given a thorough review. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

It's on the Hotel School website at the bottom. I thought I posted it on here before.

I guess your only other option is to mail it then. Just write a letter. If you want to I'm sure you could send it with your mid-year report because it's going to the same place. When is your interview? You could personally hand in an updated resume then.

ooo wow really?

my interview is the 28th

Maybe you should just bring it up in the interview

I would give something to the secretary at the Hotel School (she's the first person you see when you come in for your interview) because the person who interviews you doesn't have all your stats in front of them. At least in my case, I had to explain everything about myself to my interviewer. (i.e. classes, grades, extracurriculars) So don't expect the interviewer to know everything about you. It's much more to test out your people skills and see your personality.
