Contact for interview?

I submitted my app and everything else about a month ago but did not get any email about an alumni interview. Should I call up the regional rep. and ask her?

I submitted mine on the deadline and was barely asked for an interview today.

Are we supposed to contact Yale first about an interview?

No, I think they contact you and if they don't, that means there was no one in the area or no room.

I really want an interview...maybe I'll call them and ask for a phone interview at best.

I applied EA and never even got an interview, which, based on how my Harvard interview went, was probably a blessing in disguise.

How does a good interview help you?

Comprehensive interview info can be found in this useful thread

i'm international and haven't been contacted for an interview yet. Should i ring up my region rep and ask her if someone could give me a phone interview?

It is normal to have the interview at interviewers home?

Ijmom: "normal"? Sure it happens. I know I've had to resort to it if my babysitting is going haywire and my wife's working. Personally, if the student is female, I make a point to say that if her parents want to meet me (I'm male), I'd be glad to meet them before the session.

Otherwise, I prefer to meet at coffee shops or restaurants. Less intimidating, in general (not that my house is a mansion! LOL)

Oh I see .....
