Contacted for an interview, but...

Hey guys. I just got contacted for an interview yesterday via email. I'm so happy and excited as I've been waiting for yeaaaaars for this day to come! Dartmouth is my first choice school. Anyway, I have a dilemma. I posted this in the College Admissions forum, but I think I want to specifically make it about Dartmouth.

I have an eyebrow piercing; ironically, I got it done yesterday (the same day I got emailed). I really like it, and I really do feel that it is a representation of who I am. The thing is that everyone (minus two or three people) have been telling me that it's not professional and REMOVE IT. The two/three other people told me that "it's me" and to keep it.

I posted this in the D forum because I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is sort of accepted for D interviews? (I don't know what I'm saying.) What I'm trying to ask is, for a Dartmouth interview specifically, should I remove this piercing?

I'll be dressing nicely (lacoste sweater, polo under it, khakis, nice dress shoes) and my hair will be nice.

Thanks!

Forget it.
The piercing was done incorrectly so I just got it removed.
I'm going back in a week or two to get it redone for free after the interview.

Thanks.

Eddieee,

Good luck on your interview.

For future reference, anytime you have something official or semi-formal, be on the safe side and don't go with earrings (unless your a girl) or piercings. First impressions count a lot. Dartmouth alums are awesome, but they're still from a different time.

Good luck on your interview.
