Contacting admissions reps after application was submitted?

Hey everyone, this is a pretty important question because I am worried that it is too late to contact admissions reps at the schools I am applying to.

Basically, I want to send in some extra material that helps some of my progress/achievement with on of my EC’s stand out. The supplement material consists of YouTube videos that document the progress of the programs (which I founded) that I am a part of. One is about the golf tournament fundraiser that I hosted, which raised over $40,000. The other is a video that documents the program at my high school.

Is it too late to send over the links to the videos?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am applying to prestigious, highly selective schools. I don’t know if the caliber of school affects anything.

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think it is realistic to expect the admissions officers to view that. They read files for about 8 to 20 minutes by many accounts. Is this activity already addressed in your application?

@BrownParent‌ Yes. I addressed it in the activities section. I also got a letter of recommendation from the state director of the program I am a part of. However, I am worried that I don’t really show the amount of money I’ve raised for the program in the application - it exceeds $80,000 in total over three years. Do you think this is a vital piece that will leave my application incomplete if left out?

I also did not consider your point about realistically expecting the admissions officer to view the videos. They are roughly 5 minutes a piece, which I’d imagine is a lot of time during the application reviewing process.

I don’t think it is vital, no, it is more about your role, perhaps. Maybe the funds raised show the scope if you didn’t describe it. But they aren’t hiring you to raise money for them. You can always send an update on any info if there is an update and include links, but keep it short and sweet, just saying that this is a major commitment and you didn’t want it to be overlooked. Then it is up to them, just don’t look too demanding. Also everything should stand alone without them needing to view links. But really I think you have likely let them know enough.

@BrownParent‌ Okay great, thank you so much for you help!
