I have tried for like 3 days now to call my EC at different times during the day but I cannot reach him nor get in contact with him. All I have is a telephone number. What should I do? I left a message but he has yet to get back with me.

I think I will call or email admissions office tomorrow or thursday if nothing works out.

Yes, if you have tried several times to reach your EC without success, contact Admissions and let them know. (If there is an answering machine, I hope you left a message? Yesterday was Columbus Day and banks, post offices, and most schools were closed, so your EC might have been out of town.) If you need to contact Admissions, they'll help you out.

If you have an issue which is time-sensitive (and by "you" I mean all of you, and by "an issue" I mean any issue regarding your application), I think it's a good idea to call the admissions office. The office gets bazillions of emails every day, and I'm sure it's difficult for them to follow up in a particularly timely fashion.

Note that I am saying you should call. Not your mom. Not your dad. You.

If you still want to go the email route, be sure to email interview at mit dot edu and not admissions at mit dot edu with interview-related issues. :)

Thanks mollie. B/C of the freshman sophmores, and juniors taking stadardized tests today, I got to call the office of admissions then the interview office. Unfortunately the nearest EC was like over 100 miles away so the lady let me have the interview waived. Although I really would have liked to have had an interview.

Let me also emphasize that it was "I" who called. My parents would not have considered calling. They would say it is you who wants to go there so you take your own responsibility.

I kept calling my EC and he never got back, he even said that he would call me back but he never did. I called admissions and they knew who it was before I even said his name. They gave me a new guy and I just had my interview.
