Well I want to contact him now (my teacher referred me to him), and I don't really know what to say. Thoughts?</p>

<p>1 - My teacher told me about your visit to my HS and said you indicated that you hoped to have applications from among our students.</p>
<p>2 - From speaking with (the teacher? you?) I became interested in your university.</p>
<p>3- My teacher suggested that I contact you to see if the university could be a good fit for my background and interests.</p>
<p>4 - You’d expressed an interest in our HS’s music program; I’ve been involved in that program through . . .</p>
<p>5 - Here is what I’m interested in doing at college - do you think your school would be a good option for me to pursue?</p>
