contacting the advisor

If you can't visit Penn and see your counselor, do you e-mail or call??

When is it recommended to schedule an appointment? Prior to advance registration or During advance registration?? Also is this counselor appointment casual?

Also does anyone know by what date most students typically finish registering for courses? Does it take long?

Not to be annoying, but one of the main jobs of your Peer Advisor is to help you with these exact types of questions… has he/she contacted you yet?

The best way to contact 99% of advisors is via email. You can find their emails on the Penn directories, and also just by googling their name.

no my peer advisor has not contacted me

Your peer advisor is supposed to have contacted you…when was the last time you checked your UPenn email?

mine hasn’t contacted me either

Peer advisors are also sent out their list of students via snail mail. I got my list a few days ago. If you don’t have your packet, chances are your peer advisor hasn’t received it yet either.

actually my advisor contacted me, but my peer advisor has not…i would direct my questions to my advisor, but i’m kinda intimidated…!
