College Majors Music Major

<p>I want to be a Pop/R&B singer and I want to go to school in a big a city.
I'm looking for a school with a contemporary/popular music program.</p>

<p>These are the schools I have on my list so far:
USC
Columbia College in Chicago
BU
Berklee
U of Miami</p>

<p>I'm looking for more suggestions. </p>

<p>You could check out the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@UCO). Not the world’s greatest university, but I hear good things about the program.</p>

<p>I live in Boston and I have no idea why you put BU on that list. THey don’t even have a JAZZ program let alone something contemporary. I’d also check out UDenver, (Lamont) Belmont University, University of the Arts, and SUNY New Paltz - although their contemporary program is new. </p>

<p>All those schools except New Paltz are in a big city. </p>
