continue studying IE or turn to finance?

Hi, as an international student who just received my admission from TAMU industrial engineering department, i'm really confused about my future.

I hate to study any thing related to industrial, math or computer, even though i major in EE and CS in undergraduat and got a high GPA. I love to study fiance and econonics, and hope to find a job in bank or just be a faculty in university. But my mom, who teaches finance in university told me that finance in US uses a loooooooooot of maths and computer. So she let me to choose IE. Is that true? I don't want to work in quantitive finance area~~ or at least it's not my best choice~~

Does anybody think that i should contiune my maths and computer study in IE to make a steady basic for fiance? And TAMU has a odd schedule that studnt like me cannot choose courses in business school, this really bothers me. Does anyone think i should transfer to the the MBA? Or just apply for finance PHD?

This is really the tough time of myself. Any suggestion and advice is really important for me to make the decision~~~

Usually most business classes are reserved for students in the business school (and most engineering classes are reserved for students in the engineering school) so that seems normal to me.

Engineering is very quantitative, so it probably is not a better option for you.

If your comment about getting an MBA was to get that after college instead of majoring in business in undergrad, then you could do it, you would just have to put up with quantitative engineering classes and working in engineering for a few years.

The OP studied EE and got a high GPA.

The OP is also considering not majoring in finance because of its quantitative aspects.
