Continue with my major? Any advice?

Hello,

I’m in my 2nd year of community college right now as an engineer and was planning to transfer as a computer engineering major. I’ve taken an Introduction to Structured Programming in C++ class and got an A then went up to the next course and realized a month into the class that I didn’t enjoy coding even though I was doing well. So I dropped the class and took that extra time to research on other engineering fields yet I still haven’t decided which one I’m more interested in.

I am still taking courses that are generally transferable for engineering like calculus 3 and physics, but I’m not actually sure if engineering is what I want to do. I still aim to do my best in these classes hoping to find something that will peak my interest and get me going. As of right now though, math and science are things that I’m becoming good at but not really enjoying. I’m only sticking to engineering for job security as I haven’t found my “passion” yet.

Should I keep going? What would you guys do?

Are you taking any other classes besides engineering? Do you have time to take classes in other fields so you can find what you enjoy?

As an engineering major, surely by now you have taken some math and physics classes. Do you prefer those? Can you see yourself major in maybe math or physics instead of engineering?

What classes did you enjoy the most in HS?
