Continuing EC's in college

I'm extremely involved in my school's MUN, mock trial, and speech & debate clubs. I really don't want to leave all of them behind, and I was wondering if anyone knew some well ranked universities that have strong programs like the aforementioned three.

I want to major in economics and then go to law school or business school, and pursue a career in international law or business.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

The College of William and Mary. It has won the World Model UN Tournament 4 times in the last decade and has great debate and mock trial teams as well. It has a strong economics department (Christina Romer went here for undergrad, I have the same professor who once taught her), and has one of the highest law schools admissions rates for public schools. It has a top 30 undergrad business school as well which you can apply for as a sophomore and start in your junior year.

and Jon Stewart went there!

But I guess I’m more into schools in the northeast or west coast, just because I already lived in the south and want to experience something new. Thank you very much, though.

bump weeee

ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

It is refreshing to hear from a student who actually is passionate about their ECs and wants to continue them in college. So many of the kids from our local high school who were involved in EVERYTHING dumped all their ECs and community service once they got into Cornell, BC, NYU, RPI, BU, you name it. The few who actually continued were likely to be the more focused kids who were often overlooked when it came time to hand senior awards. Good for you!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was thinking the exact same thing. ECs aren’t overrated but ECs on an application? Many posts I see make me quite cynical about the whole process.

Also, any idea on your gpa/sats would help to narrow down the list a bit. Harvard Yale UPenn all have very active MUN clubs I know.

It’s ridiculously long, but the info is in there, I promise :P

woooooooooooooooooooooooo

hi, this is another bump.

Furman University in South Carolina is a LAC with a very strong mock trial program. They recently went to Nationals:

I know you said you didn’t want to stay in the south, but it might be worth taking a second look.

Yeah I’ve tried broadening the spectrum a bit since my grades started to flounder this year.

Schools I am/was considering:
Columbia
Cornell
Duke
Brown
Dartmouth
Upenn
UChicago
Georgetown
Amherst
UMich
UCLA
UC Berkeley
NYU
