Contrails 2008-2009

i know this is going to take some cadets way back but…

was there / is there going to be “parts” of the Contrails book that are specifically highlighted for remembering?

if so, what?

… like quotes? aircraft? DGs?

You'll have to learn a little bit of everything. All quotes and aircraft will be covered, essentially. You'll also need to know about many people, some rockets and missiles, etc.

yeah...please don't be the guy who already memorized the contrails before we arrive. Thanks!

is memorizing contrails before we arrive even possible???

like how could someone even have the book !

ebay...

It's not worth it. One, it is not that huge of a deal. Two, the text changes every year. Three, it defeats the purpose.

I agree with Goal - rule number one has always been and will always be "Don't Be That Guy".

Yeah, I think you wouldnt be anyones best friend if you memorized it all...and killed us in the process...

Dudes... for real.
i bet they'll be "those guys" though.

the sad part is that right at the start of their USAFA journey they are already failing on one of the most important ideals...

TEAMWORK... becoming one... it's not about personal excellence... it's about helping teamates and all being excellent.

"Coming together, sharing together, working together, succeeding together."

"Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success." - HENRY FORD

I looked up contrails a while back on Ebay and it went for $100. Be my guest lol.

i (unfortunately) know a guy last eyar (from my squad) whow as getting kicked out, and managed to get 3-4 extra sets of new contrails which he sold for $200 each on Ebay (and ppl bought them)

I've been looking around randomly for contrails (I even contemplated a 2 1/2 hour road trip just to see one at a college library). I actually found that you can get a copy through the Association of Graduates. I bought one and it came to be just under $20 with shipping. (kinda makes you think about buying a bunch and selling them on ebay).

I'll be applying for the class of 2013, but I promise, I won't be "that guy". I'm not that much of an overachiever to memorize that currently useless information yet. If anything, the only purpose I'll have for it would be to lift and memorize quotes for essays and possibly the AP-Grammar and Comp test.

the road to hell is paved with good intentions...

^Isn't that from a song? :)

haha I'm sure it is. But I think it has a deeper origin somewhere, although I'm not exactly sure where I first heard it. For some reason I'm thinking biblically, but I could be totally wrong.
