<p>Hamilton College which is in the midst of big capital campaign ditched Churchill because of the angry reaction (or fear of the reaction of) alumni and other potential donors not because of serious threats of violence thus compounding stupidity with poltroonery, mendacity and cupidity. Not a proud moment.</p>
<p>The correct course of action was to admit they made a mistake in inviting that mooncalf to speak in the first place and explain why. They are after all supposed to be educators which means they should be beaming the light of reason into the dark corners where ignorance flourishes.</p>
