You don’t translate, you list your actual results and predicted results.
However, you need an idea of how competitive you are. So: all GCSE’S form one “GPA” + A levels form one “GPA”, total divided in two is an approximate GPA.
For A levels
Each A* = A+/4.3, A= A/4, B= A-B+/3.5, C= B/3, D= B-C+/2.5, E= C/2, F,G = D/1, anything lower =F
For GCSE’S, the new scale changed things a bit: there are no official “fails”; a 3 is not a fail but doesn’t allow you to continue to further study so it’s like a C in the US. A 4 is sufficient to pass but not sufficient for A level advanced study, so C+/B-. And 7,8,9 are As.
So
9,8 = A+ , 4.3
7= A, 4
6= A-, 3.7
5= B+/B, 3.2
4= C+/B-, 2.5
3= C, 2
2, 1= D
No grade= F
why dont you use online calculators they are self efficeint
List actual/predicted results. Adcoms will figure it out.
