Does anybody know how to accurately calculate a GPA out of 100 to the 4.0 scale. For example I have about a 97/100 average in all honors/ap classes what is that on the 4.0 GPA scale. I really want to know because I have no idea how my chances are for getting into USC.

4.0 scale calculations differ from school to school, where at my school, any B is a 3.0, and any A is a 4.0, so it would be variable really since there are many ways you can get 97/100. Also a lot of times an A/A+ is a 4.0 while an A- is a 3.7 and a B+ is a 3.3… etc., many ways to do it, but with a 97 I’d assume all A’s and would say 3.9-4.0 probably.

alright thanks

You would multiply 97 by .04 to convert it into the standard GPA scale. That would be 97/.04 which equals 3.88.
