Go to MIT. I know you got accepted there
Go to UCLA.
Look - having done undergrad at a private university and then proceeding on to med school, I can tell you there were a plethora of kids in my class from state universities that fared just as well and seemed to have no trouble with getting in and staying in med school compared to people coming from private unis for undergrad.
In summary, medical school is expensive. It doesn’t matter how you get there, just get there as cheaply and easily as you can. A low GPA from an elite private undergrad uni will not trump a state school grad with a high GPA. Trust me - I know what I am talking about. I would not want a pre-med son/daughter to attend Princeton - even though they dropped the grade deflation policy this past fall, there seems to be a remnant of the pressure cooker mentality there from people I have talked to. For a career like Finance, Princeton might make a difference. For medicine, it may hurt you in the long run, especially when you are competing with other super talented students in your classes for A’s and instead get bell curved to a B or C.
Do yourself a favor and go to UCLA.
