Basically I'm applying all over. Harvard and Yale are my top choices and I really had no idea Fordham existed until a few months ago. I got a letter from them for a merit scholarship when I received the national Hispanic scholar award.

I mentioned Fordham to my grandfather and that's where it went crazy. Turns out his brother went there and loved it. Ever since he's tried to sell me on Fordham. I guess it seems like a great fit for me- I love what I hear of the Rose Hill campus (where I applied), and I'm a catholic.

I basically just want a few perspectives on Fordham. What's it like? Is it good for political science?

I don't think I will have a problem getting in, 2000+ SAT, 4.0+ GPA, great EC's and Athletics. Or maybe I will... is the school competitive on admissions?

You have a great opportunity for a full tuition scholarship! I do hope you are aware that most National Hispanic Scholars receive full tuition scholarships from Fordham if you meet their requirements. Make sure you select Fordham as your top choice for the National Merit/Hispanic scholarship program.

Fordham is a whole different feel than Harvard or Yale, by advice is to visit all of them and see where you feel that you fit in better. Fordham has a strong international studies program, poly sci, business, etc. It is a competitive school, but not on the same level as Harvard or Yale, but, again, it is where you will feel the most comfortable.
