<p>I have been accepted for Mech engineering at Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley, and waitlist at Cornell. Im instate and live about 6 hours north of San Francisco. Does anybody care to try and convince me why I should go to Berkeley.</p>

<p>There are great things going on in Berkeley, just as I assume there are great things going on in Ithica and pittsburgh. I'm sure all of the schools have their strengths and their weaknesses, and I bet you're smart enough to know what they are already. The truth is, if you really feel like you need to be convinced to go to Berkeley, maybe you shouldn't go.</p>
<p>Im just looking for information and opinions on the plusses and minuses to going to either of these schools. I put this same thread on the CMU board. I just want some advice and input. Obviously Im not going to make my decision solely based on a person's comment on CC.</p>
