Cooking Facilities

This obviously applies only to on-campus housing, since it's unlikely that there's such thing as an apartment in which one is legally prevented from cooking.

I understand that microwaves and the like are not officially allowed in dorms not already outfitted with them (correct me if I'm wrong there), but given that I don't like using microwaves anyway, I was wondering:

Do the dorms (or buildings containing them) contain conventional cooking facilities ("conventional" would basically be a stove/hot plate and a conventional/convection oven)?

Are small refrigerators/freezers allowed in the dorm rooms?

Thanks in advance!

The Housing Office offers either small refrigerators or micro-fridges (refrigerator/microwave combination unit) for rent. Not cheap, but my D's micro-fridge is fairly roomy with a larger freezer compartment than most of the dorm size refrigerators you can get in the stores. They allow microwaves and the refrigerators, but not hot plates in the rooms.

If you stay in Baits, there's a kitchen in each house.

I agree with above comments.

You can bring your own microwave.
You can bring your own refrigerator.
You can also bring your own TV, but it isn't cooking related (I think...)

In addition to Baits, the housing area called 'Oxford' has a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, sink... basically a kitchen.
