Does anyone know some Asian rapper bands that they recommend listening to? I think foreign rap is so cool. I try to google 'Asian rappers' but didn't get much results. Thanks, y'all.

i herd guf'uk yusef was good

Uh, no thanks. I need some real rappers.

Jinusean (South Korean)

Tai Mai Shu.

Twanti Forehun Dread

there was this one guy on BET who I taught was cool.

Eric Suen does some rap, but mostly pop

Jin, but he's not like foreign. Hes asian tho

Wanabe Blakgai.

Does there really exist such a thing as a "Cool Asian rapper"?

Fides: Brilliant. Maybe borderline Michael Richards.

Asians and rappers are oxymorons...

I'm gonna have to agree with Fidet, haha.

Niiiiiice.

Yeah, haha, wanabes. Anyone else for real?

Asian rap?

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

LOL.

But really, what in the world are you talking about about? You must be joking.

I'm a proud Asian girl, and even I have to say - we suck at rapping. Basically, like the stereotype of, "White boys can't dance," Asians can't rap.

We can wrap presents! (Sorry. Just had to. :D)

Cool, Asian, rappers?! It is a paradox! It burns!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

You guys are all falling victim to silly stereotypes.

There are plenty of decent "Asian" rappers. Even in the US, you have Jin, who I'd say could go up against almost any of the mainstream rappers for both style and flow.

In Japan, you have the commonly thrown around M-Flo. Rip Slyme is a bit more strange, but some of their stuff is good. And if you like turntabling, check out DJ Krush. He's definitely up there with DJ Shadow and Mix Master Mike in my opinion.

Everyone else, you should really check out the world of rap outside of the stereotypes.

Well, if you could make such a claim, I could too. You are falling into equally inane racial equality, PC rhetoric.

I've heard Jin and M-Flo. Man, their voices really grate, and in comparison, the flow is choppy. It sounds like something they studied, not something that came naturally to them, and thus has a very artificial feel. Nothing like street cred and experience when it comes to rap.

The DJs, though, are pretty d a m n awesome, and the remix crowd over there is at the same level, if not above here.
