Cool ideas for a website

sooo....yeah ideas? and im really curious if like little sites will make money?

i know you can put ads and stuff up, but is there a catch?

why isnt every other person starting a website then?

The trick is you have to make it interesting and worthwhile. It is also not free to have a website.

I am starting a clothing/t-shirt business and am starting a website.

It really SOUNDS easy.. but it takes alot of work for your website to gain visitors.. you need to put ALOT of work in making it good quality, continue updating it, advertising it, and alot more random stuff.

pseudoreal: it is not free to have website....................

im pretty sure there are free ones that u can make money off too right? just that it will take more work since the domain name will not be catchy and some features will be disabled.

^Isn't that what he (pseudoreal) just wrote?

Because they usually don't have anything interesting to contribute.
You wouldn't give a speech if you had nothing to say, would you?

^agreed. And even though the basics to put up a decent website (HTML, CSS, maybe PHP) are relatively easy to learn, it takes a bit of work to put together something useful and worthwhile. Most people aren't willing to dedicate the time to learn how to do everything properly. You can't just expect to put up a page full of adds and expect to magically gain visitors and earn money. Concepts aren't easy to come by either. Also, ad revenue is based on a couple of different things depending on the ads, such as number of clicks (Pay Per Click, PPC) vs. number of views. Then hosting is an entirely different issue...

Good luck if you actually get something going!

^ thanks, that helpful. How good are blogs...to make money??? like random blogs about different topics?
