my results were in my email, i don’t think my portal updated at all
the form they sent us to fill out in the email for the summit is due on july 16th so unfortunately i don’t think that they’re staggering anything since that date is approaching really quickly
do you guys think they have alternates just in case some people can’t make it to the summit or don’t fill out the form? or do you think they’ll just take whoever can make it even if it’s not exactly 100 people?
I think the title of “Coolidge Senator” is given irrespective of the summit. It makes sense in a way. The foundation recognizes the top 100 applicants. I don’t see why they would choose alternates. Especially in the summit form, they stated that they had sent the email relatively later than expected and were fully aware that a Senator might have conflicts with the dates of the summit.
i think that i looked at some old photos of the summit and there were markedly less than 100 people attending, so i don’t think there’s a system for alternates in place

Similar here my morals are heavy grounded in environmental justice so my EC are too - I guess at the end of the day I’d rather find other ways to pay for college and know I presented myself accurately

that’s true. I remember a friend who was a senator who couldn’t make it because she was performing abroad.

To my fellow senators, when are you attending the Summit? I heard from other senators that it is from the 12th to 15th, but my email and form said from the 19th to 22nd.
mine says " This all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. takes place August 12-15"
looking at the photos from 2019, i do think that there’s 2 sessions of the summit! if you look at the file names, one session is in mid august whereas the other is in early september. that’s also probably why there were way less than 100 people in some of the photos they had on the webpage - there’s only be 50 people per session
