Did anyone who has been notified get chosen as a finalist?

Lol no email here either. Just gonna assume the likely - rejection isn’t here yet. @misad1892

Check “promotions” or spam box. Mine went to “Promotions” box on gmail

Didn’t find anything in either spam or promotions. It seems they had difficulty in sending out so many emails.

Is that what happened? @misad1892 How did they choose who to send emails too?

It seems so @pineapple86 I just emailed them, so hopefully I’ll get a reply tomorrow morning!

let us know, thanks!

@misad1892

Coming in late to the party here - west coast, no email. I doubt that they’ll be working tomorrow. In either case, it’s like playing the Powerball lottery (except arguably better written).

They clearly said on the phone they were calling the finalists, and there were people who have gotten the rejection email. So I wonder why are there people that haven’t gotten any form of communication.

Why did they tell someone else today that they’d be emailing everyone? Ugh, miscommunication is the worst enemy.

@pineapple86 Did they ever email back? I never received an email either.

Considering the finalist weekend is in a week and they need time to plan, finalists have probably been contacted already. :frowning:

No @coolidge

Just got my letter today. Sadly, I was rejected, but at least I made the top 4%! Congrats to the finalists and good luck to everyone for the future!

@misad1892 were you notified in an email?

Yes @pineapple86
Their email wasn’t a reply the one I sent Friday, it was sent separately, so I’m not sure if they even know that some kids didn’t get an email.

I would be very impressed if any of the finalists could comment on this thread. 10 out of 2300 is a miniscule percentage.

@misad1892 What was the wording of your letter if you don’t mind sharing? Are they eliminating by rounds, or the letters are just coming randomly?

I really couldn’t tell if they are still whittling down the applicant pool. I’d advise emailing them. I’m being mailed a certificate for being top 4%, and they said to encourage me “to include it in future resumes and applications.” I’m wondering if someone else who got the letter Friday could confirm whether or not they had this information included; it’d help to clear up confusion.
