Hi, I have an unweighted GPA of 3.9 with a class rank of top 8%.
for the SAT, i have
800 math
730 Writing
680 Reading

2210 total.

I've been taking as many AP courses as i can. Also, currently i'm taking
IB Bio HL and IB Math HL with 3 other AP courses.

I have a fairly decent EC.
Mostly related to music, emphasizing my fervor in music.

I heard that if i'm not in top...something percent, i can't get into UT Texas.
Is that true?
I've had a few terrible teachers and some unfortunate 89's(B's)...
I was considering it as one of my safeties but now i'm becoming dubious.

Also, I live in AL but i can get instate tuition from TX.

And what are the chances for me getting in Cooper Union?
On the website, it says i should be prepared with Chemistry, pre-cal, cal and physics.
I have taken the first 3 but not physics.

Would that be critical?

PLEASE HELP!!

Please i need help bump!!!

yes, it is true that it’s difficult to get into UT if you’re not in-state and you’re not in the top 8% because it’s required by law to admit everyone who fulfills those requirements. however, like many state schools, it is trying to diversify and recruit out of staters. however, you’re in the middle range of being out of state and in state so I don’t know ):
I’m sorry if that wasn’t a lot of help but completely objectively your stats should definitely get you into UT
cooper would probably be a reach, I assume you’re not applying to the ever elusive art program?

anyways! best of luck! (:
could you chance me as well? I would appreciate it!
