Cooper Union Architecture Fall '12

Hi all!
Hope that whoever is reading this, by chance or on purpose of aiding me and others, is doing okay!
Anyway, I want to start saying that after the painful months I had to suffer to conclude that Architecture will be my major, inhales deeply I have been searching for good architecture schools. The first schools that popped into my mind were Syracuse and Cornell. Those are my top top options (though Cornell is a bit pricey, but that's possibly my second option). A third one is SCI-Arc. One of my dear professors recommended Cooper Union (personally, I never heard of it. If you must know, I don't live in the United States). Anyway, I'm applying! squeals and it's a bit daunting after reading the threads about admissions and the take home test.

Anybody else applying that might want to share some of the nervousness and insecurities with me? (Oh, I have plenty of those!)

Anybody who is attending or graduated already that might want to share experience? (Please share the secret!)

Hi! I just read this through one of my school’s services~
anyway, I’m applying for architecture too! (undergrad studies)
Anyway, Cooper Union is one of the top schools for Architecture studies and is EXTREMELY selective. I studied under a Cooper graduate for the summer and she told me the school is great. It’s in NYC (a fun place to be for newcomers haha) and I heard the people in your class become like family. The class size is about 30? 40? something like that.

Some other schools you should research are:
Pratt Institute
RISD- Rhode Island School of Design
RIT-Rochester Institute of Technology
RPI-Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
MIT- Mass. Institute Technology

RPI, RIT, and MIT are more math/physics based. They’re very technological
RISD, Pratt, Cooper are really fine arts/theoretical in my opinion

RISD has a home test too! You have to submit it with your application unlike Cooper where you get it in January*
