Hi...

I'm happy with my admission into a few great schools this year thus far, but I'm still wondering about the dark horse - The Cooper Union. Admissions data seems hard to come across and I don't have any idea on just how selective they are. Does anyone know if I should bother looking in the mail for a home test in a few weeks time?

Here are a few stats...

Architecture Major (plenty of experience in conceptual design, so the home test should be OK)
Florida student
Rank 1/26 (architecture school)
GPA (out of 4) 3.96
GPA (weighted) 5.90
I took the "usual" 9+10 grade classes with honors here and there (in all the core areas) so here is a look at 11th/12th...

11th Grade
AP Statistics - A/B (4 on exam)
AP Eng. Language - A/A (4)
AP US History A/A (4)
Spanish 4 Honors A/A
Physics Honors - A/A
Gov. Honors A
Economics Honors A
Research & Analysis A/A
Arch. Design 3 A/A
Arch. Design 4 A/A

12th Grade
Precalculus A/In progress :-( (AP Calc not offered)
AP Biology A/IP
AP Eng. Literature A/IP
AP Art History A/IP
AP Spanish B/IP
AP Macroeconomics A
AP US Gov - A
Design 5 - A/IP
Design 6 - A/IP
Arch. Photography - A/IP

ACT 30 Comp, 34 Reading, 32 Science...
Community Service - 250 hours (I will spare you the laundry list of clubs I like to work with...)

I have lots of experience with local architectural community to draw from, but I know that is worthless from an admissions standpoint.

Does this applicant stand a chance? What type of person are they looking for? I'm just lost. It's obviously one of the BEST schools in the nation, so I won't be surprised to see a letter of rejection...
