coordinated admissions program (CAP)

Hey guys,
I'm currently a hs senior, and I'm seeking info on the process of how cap works. Are there any current or past cap students who can talk me through their admissions process? For example, were you denied admission to UT and they specified you were eligible for cap? Is it something everyone who's denied gets the opportunity to participate in? Etc..any help would be much appreciated, I can't seem to find any info on it so I'm a little desperate..thanks in advance

I was a cap student and yes, I was denied admission to UT and was told I was eligible for the cap program. I’m not sure if everyone who’s denied is capped but quite a few are.

If you are denied admission to UT Austin and offered CAP, you will be given a list of CAP schools you are eligible for , You can then select one of them and the process is VERY easy after that.

When I talked to UT Admissions in June I was told that all texas residents not accepted got offered CAP, your test scores and rank determine which campuses you will be offered

from what i remember the CAP program is in its last year or the class of 2014 was the last to have it offered

im a current cap student , and the process is relatively simple , you apply to UT , when they release their acceptances for non auto which is around late february (it was February 20th for me) , you will get message saying you have been offered CAP , and then a list of schools that you are available to CAP to , then you accept the cap option and pay the fees , then make a id for the school you chose to cap at and apply for housing and it should all be sorted out by then
