Copenhagen DIS- Fall or Spring?

I’m pretty set on studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark during my junior year through DIS. The only problem is, I can’t decide whether to go in the fall or the spring. Does anyone have any insight? I’ve also heard the weather in the spring can be pretty bad- has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance.

I did this program and was advised to study abroad in the spring so that I could stay and travel in the summer. With Danish immigration laws you’re not allowed to be in Denmark for three months after your program ends, but I took two months to backpack other parts of Europe afterwards while I was already east of the Atlantic. I was also told it’d be easier to come back to my home univserity in the fall rather than try to reintegrate in the middle of the year. Those are general study abroad tips though. One nice thing about being in Denmark specifically in the spring is you start with the worst of it and it only gets better (I didn’t see the sun the first two weeks I was there). However, it can be cold and bleak. The fall semester offers nicer weather to start but then everyday gets shorter and darker. However you might have more local relationships built up for the darker times then. Also holiday markets. Some of the shorter optional trips DIS offers are season dependent too so if those are important to you consider their timeframe before you choose also.
