Hello, can anyone please advise which Honors dorm room numbers face Death Valley and any other helpful hints regarding the room selection process. Thank you and Go Tigers!
There are (or will be) maps up on the website and you can see which rooms face Death Valley. I think its only the rooms in Core C. My best suggestion is to read everything on the housing and finding website. There is so much information in there. You’ll be assigned a 30 min time slot to select a room in late May. If you have paired up with a roommate prior to that, you’ll select during the earlier slot. Have several options and backups.

Best view w 3 floor to ceiling windows and shades is rooms 574B, 474B and 374B.
274B is partially obstructed
1 window facing DV view rooms are
73, #71,#69, # 67- where # =s floor #.
Core is beautiful!! My DD live in Core A440 3 floor to ceiling window view of DV during freshman yr and loved it. She applied on the first day in August when applications opened so she selected room for her and her roomie.
Helpful hints:Watch video about selection in advance more than once. Have list of preferred room #s ready , as depending on when the student with earliest application submitted date determines earlier housing selection.
Clemson Housing website has all the details read info and enjoy.

Daughter currently in 371 B great view but there is the smoke stack issue…
Does anyone have the link to the room selection video referenced above? That’s a great suggestion to watch it ahead of time. Thanks!
I don’t see it on CU website yet. If I remember the link comes with instructions in the time slot email May15 , CU they will likely post it next week or so.
Thank you @BeachtimeinNC !
Hi I have a follow up question, if you are fortunate enough to get one of the #74B is #74A your suite mates? Do you happen to have room measurements? Thank you so much for all of your help!
Room dimensions-

@DutchXC the A or B would be your “suite” mates. Two separate rooms. When you walk in off the hall there is a shared shower area on one side and and a shared toilet area on the other. You then have 2 separate rooms if that makes any sense.
Video to select room is now available .
@BeachtimeinNC do you remember what time slot your daughter had when she did room selection freshman year? My son has the first day / second slot (Tuesday at 5:30) for regular first year room selection. He and his roommate are hoping for a room in Core A facing Death Valley. Think that’s possible with his time slot? Thank you!!!
My daughter had first time slot, she applied Aug.1st. Not sure with Douthit now how Core demand shifts. Have the list of all rooms ready in order of preference. Good luck. Any room in Core is wonderful the location.
@BeachtimeinNC would you be willing to share the pictures of you daughters dorm room? did she have a problem with noise from the bathroom? thank you!
@igoodall10 are you on the Clemson Parents Facebook (accepted students parents) page? There are lots of dorm
photos there in the albums section.
@Baxter126 Yes I just saw the photos. As the dorm is right opposite the bathroom, I’m a bit worried my daughter might not like the noise coming from fellow students. Thanks!
