<p>So, what's the difference between UGS 303 and UGS 302 besides the sizes? Which one should I take?</p>

<p>I took 303 and I believe they classified that one as having a significant writing component to it. I don’t know why though. The class was easy and we only wrote 2 papers. Take a UGS that is different from your major and interests you. If you want a rec., “Sustaining the Planet” is pretty cool.</p>
<p>I’d recommend UGS about poverty in book and film. Incredibly easy class. You watch films in class and read a few fairly interesting books. Do one big easy project about poverty and a few easy quizzes. So easy.</p>
<p>My son tried Global Money (or something like that) and hated it. He’s a good student but ended up dropping the class. The next semester, he ended up in Mexican Catholicism (art and music), lol. He didn’t like the subject matter, but it was an easy A since he can write well.</p>
<p>He found it VERY hard to get into any UGS class at all that worked with his schedule. That was probably the most frustrating part of his freshman year. It was not good.</p>
<p>They still have projects in college!!! I was hoping I would never have to do one again after high school…</p>
<p>302 has a Writing Flag, so it’s supposedly more writing intensive. That’s the only difference.
They seem to have different subjects with different professors every semester. I’d recommend looking up the professor to see if they give good grades in their normal classes. I’ve heard of a couple of UGS courses where it’s apparently pretty difficult to get an A, but they’re mostly really easy.</p>
