Are there any core classes you have to take at USC like govt, econ, history? Or do you not have to take them unless they are your major?

Yes, you have to take 6 classes in various disciplines: http://www.usc.edu/dept/LAS/general_studies/GE/

Have you been accepted, moomoitzpaul?

thanx sfgiant =D and yea, i got accepted 2 weeks ago ^^

oh oh, one more question...if I took the US hist, Eng Language, and Chem AP, what can I credit out of?

Depends on your major. If you are engineering, you get out of one GE with US history and possibly get out of chem as long as you're not chem. E.

If you're not engineering, then chem will get you out of one GE science course.

It depends on what you're interested in majoring in. You'll get elective credit for all of them as long as you scored a 3 or higher, but individual majors have different AP/course exemption policies. If you want to be exempt from a class, you have to score a 4 or a 5 on the AP equivalent. If you were going into the sciences, you'd place into a more advanced chem class; if you're thinking about going into engineering, then I think you might be able to get out of one of the GE's with AP US History.

thanx guys ^^

Also, it's possible to get most questions like this answered through a quick Google search and it's appreciated if you at least due a cursory search of this site as well as Google before posting a thread.:)

Do a Google search for "USC Core" and the page I linked is the first one that comes up. Likewise, a google search of "usc ap credits" brings a direct link to the AP credit policy.

Hope that helps. :)

haha thanx, that helps a lot
