core compsci classes for non-HSSEAS majors

<p>Has any non HSSEAS major ever tried to/suceeded in enrolling for the core compsci classes (CS31,32,33). I'm in the college of letters and science and I really want to take at least CS31. Schedule of classes says that enrollment is restricted to HSSEAS majors and a counselor told me that the enrollment restriction is permanent and won't be lifted. </p>

<p>Do I have any options? Can I petition? Does anyone who has taken the class remember seeing any non engineering majors? </p>

<p>I know about PIC10, but I'd really rather take CS31. Does anyone have any experience with this?</p>

<p>I have a non HSSEAS friend taking CS31 right now. All he did was get a PTE number from the professor.</p>
