I am a deferred nursing applicant. I've heard that the core curriculum at Villanova is very overpowering. Is it possible to participate in club sports and other activities without getting too overwhelmed?

lol yes. The classes aren’t that tough. University average gpa is around a 3.2 or so. Nursing has the highest GPA. Engineering the lowest.

The core sucks. Literally everyone I know here can attest to that. Nursing does not have quite as many requirements as arts and sciences does though. However, the course load for nursing students is already tough enough as it is, and I can’t imagine core courses making that any easier. It doesn’t detract from being able to get involved in extracurricular activities. Almost everyone here is involved in something (or many things) and we’re all required to take the core. Just make sure to work on time management because that is key here. You definitely won’t be going to bed at 9 pm every night…but, it’s doable.

Def not a light workload according to my son but he’s had no issues participating in sports/clubs.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!
