Core Curriculum

Does USC practice a Core Curriculum? Do we have to end up taking english courses if not a english major or taking a foreign language?

Yes there is a core:

[USC Core > USC College of Letters, Arts, & Sciences](http://college.usc.edu/usc-core/)

It has a writing requirement, diversity requirement, and then a course from each of the 6 general ed categories. Most majors require some foreign language where as a few do not. You should check the specifics of the major you are interested in.

How can we fit in 6 GE courses in our schedule…do we have to complete them over the first two years?

@majichen - I assume you mean when taking them at your school before transferring? You can only complete Cat I, II, III and V at your school as USC requires you to take cat IV and VI at USC once you transfer.
