Core vs divisional help?

I’m attending BU next year in CAS and I need help deciding whether or not I should participate in the core curriculum vs divisional studies. First of all, let me say I am very interested in the core. I’ve always loved reading various types of literature so being able to learn by reading the classics is very appealing to me. However, though I applied as a psych major, I’ve been having second thoughts and am highly considering changing my major. The school does recommend this program for people who are not sure what they want to so but I’m concerned it won’t be a good choice. If I’m undecided wouldn’t it be a better idea to take courses in finance or economics or biology or whatever else I’m considering while also checking off gen eds? Or would I be okay taking the core curriculum and then using my other classes to explore a bit? I’m worried that with the core taking up time, I’ll spend too much time exploring and then maybe be behind when I finally decide on a major. Any thoughts on this?

Do divisional. I did core and regret it
