^^ "did they send the emails all out at once? ".

oo right..ha...well i called the office of admissions (not scholarships)..all they told me was that every applicant gets notification via postal mail...i didn't ask specifically about the e-mails

I'm not sure about the emails, but the assistant dean said that letters were mailed on Saturday. And southernazn, why do you want to know what school I go to?

stroebsp37, here is an excerpt from the Vanderbilt Admissions blog from a few weeks ago:

[quote]
Those candidates in the College of Arts and Science and in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development will be invited to interview on campus March 16-18, 2008. Scholarship recipients in the School of Engineering will be notified via mail in early March.

It appears to be the same as last year. My son received a letter about a week into March notifying him that he had been selected. No interview was required, but he was invited to attend Accepted Students Day for engineering students (in April) and talk to people then; not required, though.

Competition seems to have been very stiff this year.

1580/2330
a good variety of EC's/leadership/awards
and good essays

I got nada.

yessssssssssssss....i got an interview

my test scores are lower than all of yours tho. i think people often place wayy too much emphasis on stats and forget that stats only paint half the picture.
