where are you guys from… maybe that effects when you find out

^It’s notified through email , so I doubt that plays a part.

I feel like it could be based on the school you applied to or alphabetical…that would make sense considering my last name is at the end of the alphabet.

Mine is in at the end as well, so perhaps that is the case.

My last name is toward the beginning and I haven’t heard anything either. The wait is killing me!

My last name starts with e and I still haven’t gotten anything. I could definitely see them doing it by school.

Yeah, me too. That would make sense since it is the faculty from the individual schools that select the CV scholars. I applied to CAS and haven’t heard anything.

my last name is towards the end and i also applied to CAS and haven’t heard anything! i hope we hear as soon as possible.
do you think it’s an automatic system? at this point in the day if we haven’t heard back should we make any assumptions?

btw good luck everyone!

According to the blog, the APC people send out the notifications…no idea if that means anything. Well, so far, it looks as if none of us have heard back so I wouldn’t make any assumptions. I mean, it seems fairly unlikely that we would all be rejected but it seems even more unlikely that we would all get accepted (at least from a statistical point of view).

When they do it, it’ll be by school. I have no idea when that will be. I’m not really anxious because my SAT score is right under the mark of what typically qualifies; plus I got a similar scholarship to my state school so I’m pretty content as far as scholarships go!

Good luck to all of you in the running for this. I wish you the best! This scholarship is an amazing opportunity, and it makes me excited just thinking about the lucky people who have earned it through their hard work! Keep patient!

They said they’d notify recipients beginning today, via both email and letters. Do you suppose they sent out the letters today, and will then send out the emails on Wednesday, giving the mail a few days head start?

…so it is by school?

Also, if anyone’s curious, the blog says that 139 CV scholarships have been awarded out of over 3400 applicants. I don’t even want to post the percentage because it’s kind of depressing…LOL

@SimpleLife. I’m pretty sure they are doing emails first and then letters for the acceptees.

i applied to engineering. the website says notification will spill over into tomorrow and wednesday, so i wouldn’t assume that we didn’t get it quite yet. good luck to everyone!!! not expecting to get it, but REALLLYYYYY hoping!

@GoldOwl
It says 143 CV scholarships went out. If the 4 scholarships makes a difference…

Oh sorry…139 must have been for last yr.

Has no one on CC gotten an e-mail yet? This is really weird…

the anxiety is killing me

^^It’s more likely that no one at all has received an email yet.
