I hope that this gives everyone hope lol. I can’t believe i got the scholarship. I am a deep-voiced man, and I screamed like a girl when I saw it. My father (equally virile) said he was almost crying. I guess it runs in the family.

Congrats to everybody who received it I applied to College of Engineering, and did not receive the CV. I think that my low-ish ACT score, superrrr long essay, and other things all contributed to this lol. All you guys deserve it! Enjoy Vandy (if you indeed enroll) :D

Congrats to all! I hope to see you on campus someday! (I’m sure I will, since I’m also CV) And for those of you who haven’t been notified yet, don’t fret because I remember I got my email 8 full days after they started coming out last year =) Good luck to all!

I won zeh cornelius. college of engineering… I’ll probably switch out to arts and sciences after the first year though

I did not get it (CAS).

@GoldOwl: I am sorry you did not make it. I thought you had a great chance. Good luck to you!

Thanks but it’s ok… I realize there were some amazing applicants out there. Best of luck to you as well.

keellota, I don’t believe you can take the scholarship with you if you switch to CAS from engineering. If that is your plan, you’d better check on that.

Got the email-didn’t get it. I am middle of alphabet, applied to CAS. Now I am wondering something different. Can anyone post info about other merit $$? For example, did anyone who didn’t receive one of the signature scholarships and did not receive financial aid, get any other merit money (not including National Merit Scholarship)? I sure hope so. Thanks!

Sorry to inform you, dardyjoe, but you DO belong in the group. Real people go to Vanderbilt, too, you know! ;)

btw fyi, I’ve never had an experience with engineering, but it looks like I would like it… so I’m going to give it a shot, take a few engineering classes the first semester or two. I’m assuming my schedule won’t be too radically different from that of a science/math A&S student. College is a time to explore, I say.
