I havent sent mine, i prolly wont go.

why arent u going?

i dont know; its too far, i havent even seen it, the weather must be horrible (im from los angeles) and travel expenses.

whats ur major at cornell
where do u go currently
so u think the cons weigh out the all the pros?

I also probably will not be going, but just in case, when does it have to be sent by?

And in case sexy is wondering why someone wouldnt go, Ill shoot:

Major: Physics @CAS
Current : UC Riverside
My reason is that I got admitted to two places that I would fit in better, University of Chicago and my top choice Harvey Mudd, so Cornell would have to fellate me financially if I were to go there.

My major @ cornell? Ilr
i go to a community college in cali.
Im not sure if cornell has any real pros that i can work with. Yes, its a great school. Yes, the campus looks nice on pics...but the real question here is, as the financial aid package says, "is it worth it"? and from what i have been reading, investigating, and observing, it seems like no its not. Its just undergrad; undergrad doesnt really have any value if you go to grad school, so why should i spend my money on a school that is only like 5-8 ranking spots higher than where i think i am going to go (and prolly costs thousands less)?

where are u thinking of going

berkeley :) and it only costs 50 dollars to go there on a plane! thats so cheap!!

Who else is going to ILR in the fall?

maan... if u guys didnt wanna go to Cornell y in the name of god did u apply there in the first place??? and make the application process so much more selective for those of us who really want to go to Cornell??

damn i wish cornell would have a waitlist for transfers..because apparently many of you don't want to go!

Wow guys
I do understand that you have to apply to a wide variety of schools to ensure an acceptance and hopeful transfer,
But this is ridiculous some of you shouldn't have applied to Cornell `cause you obviously don't want to attend.
Seems to me some of you just applied to say the words "Cornell took me, but I turned them down"
I could be wrong though

obinnadone, dont be upset if people got in

its the nature of the game

its the nature of life

First of all, all you sore losers need to shut up. Second of all, many of us applied to see if we were going to get hooked up with financial aid, and we didnt. Its not our fault, blame it all on cornell's financial aid policy. Considering its an ivy, they should have enough money to fund every student with a healthy sum of money. As superman said, its the nature of the game. And also, dont blame it on us cuz u guys couldnt get in.

how the hell are all of us losers? i never said you shouldn't get in. by all means, apply and thats what we all hope for. i merely stated that a waitlist would be nice for people who would've otherwise been rejected (such as myself) because of a possibly low yield rate. i;ve learned that other selective schools have this option such as dartmouth and nyu, it would be nice of cornell to have that too. so sick my duck before you go off on a rant again biznatch.

They compensate for people who do not go when they make the decisions. Those of us who do not go just happen to be a part of the 'other' group.

You can think of it like this as well: the more of us who do not go, the more they will likely accept next year.

I havn't got my decision yet... go figr

I know what youre goign through mojo. I didn't get any aid either so I'm probably going to turn down cornell for uva :/

Didnt anybody look at the case #2 Finaid profile in the packet they sent us and just go 'oh crap, im screwed?'

lol, i feel sorry for that person, she got 0! profile #1 also got a horrible finaid package, and he was lower middle class...
