Cornell - 2007 Transfer Thread

is it okay to not finish all the prereq's?

Wow, just checked my decision. REJECTED!! It's so interesting i'm laughing instead of getting mad. I was aceepted last year and placed on a fin. aid waitlist. I was then advised to reapply and this is my financial aid i suppose. Ha Ha! GPA was 3.9. Good luck to those waiting!

Just checked again. Still no word for me. The lady at CAS said I would have heard back by Wednesday. Arg. I have decisions to make....

i would call schneider. good luck.

i got rejected. i just love rejection letters

Have most ppl. gotten their rejection letters at home or online first ?

I still havn't heard anything.... :(

i wont be receiving a rejection letter :P. i saw my decision online on thursday night but i havent had anything in the mail yet.

got my acceptance wednesday, and the official mail arrived friday - so expect yours on Monday perhaps (Im from CA)

anyone not get a decision yet?
is it supposed to take this long?...

where online can you see your decision?
the cornell status application website?
https://admissions.cornell.edu/selfservice/login.cfm

yes. if a decision has been made, you will see a new link that says 'check decision'

Yup i got rejected...
Damn i am sad

Still havn't gotten my notice of either a rejection or acceptance. Guess I know what I'll be doing today. It's oh so fun to try and get ahold of the right person in CAS.

I was accepted to CAS. They want a notification by June 1st, right? This worries me because I:

1.) Was waitlisted by Dartmouth and they said they'd tried to get back to me "as soon as possible" after May 22nd. However, they said the process could take several weeks.

2.) Am still waiting on Harvard, who said they'd try to send notifications out "before June 1st" but that'd be worthless if I get the notification two days before June 1st.

I'm so confused!

alittlebird, you were waitlisted by dartmouth as a transfer applicant? i had no idea this was possible. does anyone know what other schools offer a waitlist for transfer candidates? thanks.

i was waitlisted at middlebury...i think most schools have waitlists for transfers, it just depends on space

Does anyone know if Cornell has a waitlist?

I do know that most places do - but so far all I have heard was either rejection or acceptance - NOT waitlist.

cornell doesnt have a waitlist.

yeah i actually asked the adcoms this before. no waitlist for transfers at cornell.

I GOT IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I guess that wait was worth it. Phew.

However, now I have a choice between UVA and Cornell - ick.
